The potential customers of this market are the persons older than 18. In Romania , there are approximately 14 million potential customers.
The effective customers represent all the population of Romanian nationality , over 18 years old , plus the other nationalities which are not allowed to drink alcoholic drinks, from religious or traditional impediments. The major population, 18 millions , represent religions and traditions that do not bar alcohol consumption.

One of Murfatlar objectives for this year is a value increase between 5 and 10% for the expensive brands L Conu’Alecu , Lacrima lui Ovidiu and Trei Hectare. According to Ziarul Financiar , Murfatlar has registered an increase with over 20%. After this, the company is expecting a turnover of about 47 million lei , after the company reported an increase with 14% of the sales in 2007.
Jidvei producer in expecting to have an 120 million lei turnover , which is an increase with 10% comparing with 2007.
Vincon Vrancea has registered in the first 3 months of this year sales of 25,2 mil lei. , increasing with 3% from the previous year.
The national production of wines was in 2009 6 mil hectoliters , increasing with 13% from the previous year , when there were produced 5,3 million hectoliters.
2. Market evolution
The evolution of the sales value during the period 2007-2010 seems to be approximately constant as, in 2007, it reached the value of 450 mil euros and in 2010, and revenues of 400 mil euro were earned due to the wine industry.
