Finansbank (Romania) SA has been active on the Romanian market since February 2000. Our Bank, as a universal financial institution, serves all segments of the economy with a wide range of products and services such as consumer finance operations, plastic cards, savings accounts, certificates of deposits, loans for SMEs, working capital loans, project finance transactions and trade finance operations.

As part of international Fiba Group of Financial Services, Finansbank (Romania) SA benefits from the deep expertise and know-how of its main shareholder Finansbank AS in developing market economies.

Finansbank (Romania) SA aims to increase its market share in Romania by offering new customized products to its large client base and by opening new branches. Our Bank is acting as the core center of the synergy created by other Fiba Group subsidiaries in Romanian financial markets by providing access for its clients to Finans Leasing SA, Finans International Leasing SA, Finans Financial Services SA (consumer finance) and Finans Mortgage SA (real estate development and mortgage).

Main events of the Year 2004

In March 2004, Finansbank (Romania) SA arranged a subordinated loan facility from Finans International Holding NV for USD 3 millions with a maturity of 8 years, in order to strengthen its equity besides the capital increase of USD 3 millions in cash. A EUR 15 million syndicated loan facility has been signed in October 2004, being the second transaction of this kind on the Romanian market.

Finansbank (Romania) SA has launched a ROL 410 billion (EUR 10.5 million) corporate bond issue in November 2004, listing the bonds to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
