Intelligent systems and interfaces
Authors: Horia-Nicolai Teodorescu
Daniel Mlynek
Abraham Kandel
Hans-Jurgen Zimmermann
The field of „intelligent systems and interfaces” has witnessed an impressive growth during the last ten years. Although then it was a topic rather unknown for all of us, nowadays intelligent systems become part of our lives because it represents a powerful tool in various industrial fields.
As a matter of fact, the domain of intelligent systems is now too large to be covered just in a single volume. As a consequence, the Authors due to their commitment, hard-work and patience realized a balance between selected sub-fields and included real-life applications. The result was a well-written volume that offers a comprehensive background of the field, including fundamental aspects, software-, sensors-, and hardware-related issues.
The volume has 14 chapters organized on four sections. The first section deals with „Intelligent agents and bio-inspired systems”. It includes several aspects of building and using various types of „intelligent agents” and reveals their close similarity to animals. The next section, „intelligent data processing” presents feature-space, neural, neuro-fuzzy, and hybrid methods in various applications. The third part of the book is related to „interfaces” aspects, while the final section is devoted to applications of intelligent systems and to related high-technology project management.
As far as I am concerned, I truly recommend it, in view of the fact that it offers a systematic overview of intelligent interfaces and systems, deep, practical knowledge in building and using intelligent systems in various applications.
As a conclusion, the book „Intelligent Systems and Interfaces” is worth reading because it is an important reference on intelligent systems that definitely appeals to a large audience: from graduate and postgraduate students in computer science, electronics, micro-technology, robotics to engineers from high-tech industries and researchers involved in the design, manufacturing, and use of intelligent interfaces and systems; all of them will benefit from this comprehensive, in-depth study of the topic and find many solutions to research and design problems.

1. Introducere
- Prezintă informaţii ce reflectă activităţi desfăşurate în trecut;
- Indicii financiari reprezintă nişte măsuri agregate care depind de foarte mulţi factori la nivel operaţional, nepermiţând identificarea specifică a cauzelor reale care conduc la modificarea acestor parametri;
- Nu permit urmărirea obiectivelor strategice pe termen mediu şi lung;
