Event Description

The event The Taste of Japan wants to create a favorable environment to the discovery and understanding of the Japan culture and, at the same time, to form a networking atmosphere. To this extend, the event is structured in two parts. The first part involves various stage moments, presentations of specific Japan habits, traditions or even elements of modernity that shape nowadays the Japan society. Demonstrations of martial arts, origami, calligraphy and objects of national heritage are some of the things that will .

The event is meant to bring together Japanese people and others interested in the culture of Japan. So the second part is meant to represent a means of socializing and networking between the two categories of people, for the latter to have the possibility of asking questions and receiving answers from Japanese people in person.

A very important aspect of the event is the food tasting and the workshops organized in order to offer an authentic experience to the participants. The traditional delicacies prepared by the partner restaurants or the team organizing the event are meant to show how Japan tastes like in terms of culinary preferences. The photo booth space is another important aspect of the event as it is meant to be decorated in a unique way with cultural elements specific to Japan. The photo booth represents also a method of promotion and follow-up for the event in social media. Before the start and after the event, Japanese music will play in order to offer an excellent auditive experience to the participants. There will be two interactions during the event with the public.

Purpose

The desire to organize this event came up as there was observed among students the need to discover to understand and get to know different cultures, but the impossibility to go and travel all over the places because of financial reasons. Our purpose is to be able to bring at least a small part of the culture of Spain here in our home country, to create a special event and environment and to give young people the opportunity to explore Japan, better understand the culture and get the chance to meet Japan people as well.
