I. Short history

The fascinating history of a group which emerged from the North of France and is now present in over 80 countries worldwide.

In 1853 Louis Bonduelle became active in the agro-grocery sector. The next generations came and they changed the initial activities of the company (distillery, sugar factory and yeast facility).

With their first green pea campaign in 1926, the preservation of vegetables started.

The rapid development of this new kind of production was crowned in 1957 with the great success of introducing a peas and carrots mix.

The spirit of innovation has never left the company, which was developing gradually in terms of frozen vegetables’ technologies in 1968; and at the end of the 90s in the area of fresh fruit (salads in plastic bags, ready to be eaten).

In 2003 the Bonduelle group celebrated its 150th anniversary in the agro-grocery sector and then in 2007 the brand’s 60th birthday.
