1. Purpose

The purpose of this procedure is to ensure the process of issuing the diploma to the students

who completed an academic degree at the University Department of Professional Studies in

Split.

1.1. Definitions

Academic degree - qualification which students get upon successful completion of a

course of study in higher education

Certification - the process of providing someone or something with an official document

attesting to a status or level of achievement.

Diploma - a certificate awarded by an educational establishment to show that someone has

successfully completed a course of study.

Diploma supplement - a document accompanying a higher education diploma, providing a

standardised description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies

completed by its holder. It is designed as an aid to help (but not guarantee) recognition - it is

not a CV or a substitute for the original qualification.

Graduation ceremony - a ceremony at which degrees or diplomas are conferred

Record of payment - documented file which prove the payment for the student academic

fee

Transcript of records - a document which contains the student's academic record where

are registered all courses taken, all grades received, all honors received and degrees

conferred from the first day of university to the current academic year.

Student Service - an institutional department which has the purpose to facilitate all the

educational missions of the university, by providing support, information and different

services for students during the academic period.

INDEKS - student card which contains the picture of the student, the faculty and the

academic year, as well as the record of courses and exam grades of the student.
